Declined Donation?
We recently implemented our new online donation processing system (as our previous system was discontinued) and unfortunately a small number of our donors have experienced some difficulties with declined donations, sometimes with a message saying "General decline of the card. No other information provided by the issuing bank."
This message could be due to having entered incorrect card information, but it could be your financial institution declining the donation based on a complex algorithm to automatically identify potential fraud. Our payment processor has informed us that it is not unusual when changing processors or setting up a new website to get some declines or be flagged as suspect because the reputation of our new site and payment processor has not been established yet.
Unfortunately we do not have much control over these types of declines, and we really regret that this may be causing your charitable support to be denied.
To help resolve any difficulties making your donation, we kindly request you to contact the bank that issued your credit card and ask them to permit the transaction. Once our site is cleared with your bank, future donation attempts should run successfully.
